Marguerite Donaldson
Marguerite Donaldson has been living with HIV for over 29 years. Diagnosed in 1992 –through routine prenatal blood tests, she is one of the longest living women with HIV in Aotearoa.
Her journey with HIV began with stigma and discrimination where it has persisted most of her life, particularly from healthcare providers and employers. A loving mother of two, grandmother and besotted GREAT grandmother, Marguerite lives in Christchurch and is a passionate HIV advocate and experienced presenter for the Positive Speakers’ Bureau.
