Geoff Rua’ine

Geoff is both NZ Maori and Cook Islands Maori. He has been living with HIV for 26 years.

He has been an advocate and educator in the HIV sector and was the first Cook Islander to speak publicly about living with HIV. Leading a quiet life these days, he now works in healthcare and still finds opportunities to educate and change people’s attitude. As a life member of NZ AIDS Foundation he remains connected to various communities and supports the kaupapa at every chance.
